List of people killed in Pune blast

Nine people, including two foreigners, were killed in Saturday night’s bomb blast at a bakery in Pune. The names of the victims announced on Sunday evening by Pune Police Commissioner Satyapal Singh are:

Dead:

• P Sundari, 22, of Bangalore

• Anik, 24 and Anandi Dar, 19, brother-sister from Kolkata,

• Vinita Gadani, 22, of Mumbai

• Shilpa Goenka, 23, of Kolkata

• Shankar Pansare, 40, of Pune,

• Gokul Nepali (waiter at the bakery)

• Saeed Abdul Ghani, 26, Iranian (student of Symbiosis University)

At 3:34 am local time, February 27th, a

devastating magnitude 8.8 earthquake struck Chile

one of the strongest earthquakes ever recorded. According to Chilean President-elect Sebastian Pinera, at least 120 people are known to have been killed so far. The earthquake also triggered a Tsunami which is right now propagating across the Pacific Ocean, due to arrive in Hawaii in hours (around 11:00 am local time). The severity of the Tsunami is still not known, but alerts are being issued across the Pacific.
